...to think about some things

I ran across this and feel compelled to share.

The argument as to whether birth control pills prevent ovulation or implantation. Randy Alcorn explains it, so I won't have to, but in a nutshell, most pills these days are not contraception. Also that IUD, Norplant, Depo Provera and the like do not generally prevent ovulation.

He likened it to leaving a toddler unattended in a swimming pool. Bad things will happen. Not every time, but it would be ill advised to take that chance with your child.

I can attest to the fact that pills do not always prevent conception, I'll be happy to show you pictures of the kids I had while taking the pill. I am also sad to report that I used Norplant for several years, as I did the Depo. Now, the first time I was on Depo I did not have any menstrual cycles, which I am assuming meant that I did not ovulate. Good news. But with the 2nd time I was on the Depo and the time I was using Norplant, I did. Which probably means that there are some people who were for a moment and are no longer. We opted several years ago to go the surgical route, and have not researched the commentary regarding it, but hubby had a sperm count of zero, so that should be good for preventing conception.

So, please research the matter for yourself.

I've heard that before, too. Of course, ironically, we found out we were infertile after wasting a year of our lives using protection and the pill. That's a different rabbit trail, though.

Click this and I will send you flair:)
