...we cleaned the cupboard

There is always something needing cleaned around here, I don't expend too much energy worrying about it. My mother had a plaque in her house that read "Cleaning with kids in the house is like shoveling the walk while it's snowing." It may have been her mission statement, I'm not sure, hopefully I have a little better attitude about it, but I completely understand it.

We had to clean out the cupboard today, not because the cupboard needed it, but because the little boys found it to be the perfect fire truck. It's the cupboard that houses the Sam's Club cases so it was not traumatic for me, the boys stayed there for an hour or so making it totally worth it. Better yet, they were getting along.

Next time CPS sends me a "little note" about the lack of toys that I have made available for the children, I'll be sure to tell them they don't need toys we just put them in the cupboard.
